I have taught bachelor’s (introductory and upper level) and master’s students in Earth sciences and biological sciences at four different universities in the US and UK.

For the following courses, I was an Adjunct Lecturer:

  • Earth Science for the 21st Century, EARTH 101 – Northwestern University (lead, sole instructor)
  • Introduction to Paleontology, EAES/BIOS 360 – University of Illinois Chicago (lead, sole instructor); received the Honoring Our Professors’ Excellence (HOPE) Award (University of Illinois Chicago Office of Campus Housing award as nominated by students)
  • Ecology Laboratory, BIOL 4364 – Benedictine University (lead, sole instructor; 2 sections)
  • Principles of Biology Lab, BIOL 1199 – Benedictine University (section instructor; 1 section)

I have also been a Teaching Assistant or Guest Lecturer for the following courses:

  • Dinosaur Science, BIOS 23100 – University of Chicago (“Taphonomy & Footprints” guest lecturer; postdoctoral field teaching assistant for week-long dinosaur excavation in Wyoming)
  • Evolution of the Biosphere, EASC30008 (Master’s level course) – University of Bristol (graduate teaching assistant [i.e., demonstrator])
  • Geobiology, EASC20024 – University of Bristol (graduate teaching assistant [i.e., demonstrator])
